The Monterey Bay Chapter of the California Agricultural Pest Control Advisers (CAPCA) is offering two scholarships of $1000 each. The scholarships are in memory of Jose Luis Mandujano: a local pest control advisor who passed away in 2001. The scholarships are directed towards students who are pursuing a degree in production agriculture. Applicants must reside in one of the three Monterey Bay area counties: Monterey, Santa Cruz or San Benito. The scholarships are to be used at any community college or university offering a degree in production agriculture. Applicants may be high school seniors or college students who graduated from a Monterey Bay area high school. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2008. The recipients will receive the scholarship in two payments, with the first disbursement for the fall term. Enclosed is an application to be used by interested parties. Applicants must reside in one of the three Monterey Bay area counties: Monterey, Santa Cruz or San Benito. The scholarships are to be used at any community college or university offering a degree in production agriculture. Applicants may be high school seniors or college students who graduated from a Monterey Bay area high school. Additional applications may be made by photocopying or can be requested from the address above. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2008. Recipients will be notified by July 15, 2008.
